Brand Ambassador, Samantha Chavez lives and works in the Sierra Nevada Forest. She tried out the WoolPRO Agena in the high elevations and was not disappointed!

Sierra Nevada Forest Gear Review

“A great warm base layer. I was honestly surprised by how it looked on me because it looked amazing! I loved wearing just the base layer on a cool day. On windy desert nights, I wore it with a cheap windbreaker and I stayed pretty cozy the whole night. Especially, compared to the time I forgot it at home and just wore a t-shirt and fleece (cold…so cold…). I used it on windy days (with no sweater or windbreaker) and I never felt overly hot while backpacking with it. Plus, like all the reviews have said before, it never seems to smell bad even after a long day.

Finally, I’m a person who has always hated wearing long-sleeved shirts because I don’t like the feeling of restricted range of motion that most long-sleeved shirts give me. I never had that problem with the Agena. It’s a great investment if you’re looking for a warm base layer.”

Who is Samantha Chavez?

I’m living and working in the Sierra Nevada Forest. I have easy access to many wonderful places in the Sierras that I will be making weekend trips to. I work both in the low and high elevations from dusk to midnight. I’m really interested in trying the new sweaters and the leggings to see how they compare to how I’m keeping warm at night in the high elevations. Follow me on instagram @felinesami
